Will it work for you or against you?

How long does it take for brain function to return to normal after ceasing 3 or more years of psychiatric medication?

There is no "normal"
Once upon a time, it was normal to believe in fairies. If you do now, they lock you away - unless you're an artist because we still allow artists to be "weird" and get away with it.
Your brain is not static.
It learns from every experience and re-shapes itself to better handle similar experiences. So your brain wasn't normal to begin with because no one's brain is normal.
Now let me ask you a question:
Why would you want to return to a situation that wasn't healthy for you?
Whatever was "normal" for you before your medication wasn't working - it wasn't enhancing your life. You must now be in a better position because you haven't needed that medication for 3 years. So this should be your new "normal". Whatever was missing before has been resolved. You don't need to go back to anything.
